WebDav Common Problems & FAQ

Q. Everytime I connect to my WebDav account, it asks me to login twice, even though my password is correct.
A. This is normal. We're not sure why this is the case, but you will usually get asked to login twice.

Q. I am getting a "File Permission Error" when attempting to save.
A. Try to save the file under a slightly different name. This has worked 80% of the time.

Q. WebDav says the folder is unavailable when I try to connect.
A. Try again, and if still unsuccessful, restart the computer. If you have access to them, you can always switch to another computer or laptop.

Q. How do I set up my WebDav account at home?
A. Instructions are in the right menu of this web page for Windows 98 & Windows XP. Just follow the directions, and set-up should be quick. Windows ME is able to access WebDav too, and is similarly set-up. Windows 95 does not support WebDav, and certain versions of 98 has not worked either. 

Q. Will WebDav work on my dial-up computer?
A. Yes, but it will be SLOW. Be warned. WebDav is best used on a high-speed platform.

Q. In Windows 98 or Windows ME, it is not accepting my user name/password. I know that info is correct, what is wrong?
A. In the login screen, try typing the word "webdav" in the domain. Usually you can just leave the domain blank, but I have seen a few instances where this is necessary.
