Summary:

     This is the tale of Nick Naylor, a lobbyist for tobacco companies. Nick is hated by almost everyone, but he has a true talent to negotiate his way out of anything. Charming and smart, Nick is simultaneously admired and despised. His job comes into trouble, and he must decide what kind of role model he should be to his young son.
