Volley For The Cure!

On Monday, September 24th, 2007, cross-county rivals Van Wert and Crestview will be battling on the volleyball court to help raise money, and increase awareness for breast cancer. Pink "Volley For the Cure-800 teams vs. Breast Cancer" event t-shirts are currently being sold for $5 ($6 for XXL). Pink Sweatshirts are also available for $18 ($19 for XXL). There will be many events, including the game, to help raise money. Some events include:
-cake raffle
-silent auction
-a 50/50 raffle
-serving contests for pizza
-a giant underwear race between VW and Crestview students
-individual raffles for several major ticket items including a Van Wert letterman jacket donated by Northwest Ohio Screenprinting.

*All the proceeds from the concessions and activities that night will be donated to the Susan G. Koman Foundation.

You don't need to be a volleyball parent. We want this event to be a community wide; anyone and everyone should come!

Admission to the game will be reduced for everyone wearing pink: $3 for adults and free for students. Van Wert High School is encouraging everyone to come and

	Teacher, Mr. Kallas said, "The volleyball game is an awesome cause. Cancer is a huge killer, so anything we can do the help out is great! It doesn't get the amount of attention that it needs.
	Senior, Jade O. said, "We have to raise a lot of money to fight breast cancer because it's one of the leading health concerns among women in the U.S." Senior, Hannah P. said, "There will be many activities going on that day such as serving contests, cake raffles, silent auctions, and selling pink spirit beads and shirt.
	Senior Heather F. said, "People should come to the game because not only will it be a good game because its against Crestview, but it's for a good cause and it will be fun to see everyone dressed in pink!"
	Senior, Thaison L. said, "I think many people will come to donate money for the good cause." Senior, Brooks E. said, "It is going to be a great event!" Senior, Tony C. said, "It's a great event for a great cause!"
	Freshman Raegan, Lindsey, Ericca, Toni, Morgan, Brittany, and Katie said, "A lot of people will be there! It will be a good rivalry game, all decked out in pink for a good cause!"
