Special Film Showing - Tue 07/05/2011 (Mr. Butler)

We will be showing a special "Black Swamp Journal" followed by one of the movies to be shown at this weekends Indepentent Film Festival at the NPAC. The movie is "To Die For" and will air Wednesday, July 6th @ 10 am and 8 pm. An encore presentation will be Friday @ 10 am.

Grim Reaper Day - Wed 04/27/2011 (Mr. Butler)

Unfortunately, every week in the U.S., approx. 80 teens between the ages of 16 & 19 die in traffic accidents. These deaths are often related to driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, driving at excessive speeds, distractions – such as cell phones, changing music, & eating, and failure to use seat belts. Today the Lookin’ Out Committee has planned a serious activity to illustrate the tremendous loss of teen lives. Eighty VWHS juniors and seniors will be symbolically lost due to traffic accidents. Their loss will be obvious, and we request that everyone take this activity seriously.

Sunday 3/20 tech issues - Tue 03/22/2011 (Mr. Butler)

We are sorry that church services on Sunday 3/20 did not show on Channel 6 due to a technical issue that was not discovered until Monday.

We apologize for any problems this may have caused.

Christmas Special - Tue 12/21/2010 (Mr. Butler)

On Friday, Decemeber 24, 2010 and Saturday, December 25, 2010 their will be a Christmas special videos running. They will be the High School and Middle School Choir Concert, All-City Band Christmas Concert and the Messiah.

Veteran's Day Program Information - Tue 11/09/2010 (Mr. Butler)

We will be broadcasting LIVE the Veteran's Day Program that will be held for the HS/MS students in the PAC on Thursday at 9:30 - 10:45.

Video issues are resolved! - Tue 09/21/2010 (Mr. Butler)

Time Warner was able to resolve the white balance video issues we have been having since installing the equipment at the High School.

9/10/10 Channel 6 update - Fri 09/10/2010 (Mr. Butler)

We recieved the new switch and it DOA. Currently we are in scramble mode to get a different switch so we can get up and running ASAP.

Churches, please drop off your DVD's or tapes on Monday to the HS office and we will post the schedule (the schedule will be posted Tuesday by 1 pm on Channel 6 and on the HS website) for Thursday's viewing. WE WILL BROADCAST SERVICES ON THURSDAY even if we have to switch by hand.

Sorry for any problems this has caused...

Hardware Upgrade - Thu 09/02/2010 (Mr. Butler)

We are currently upgrading our main switch that quit working. We hope to have it replaced by the end of next week (Sept 10) and can again have GOOD audio and not have to do programming by hand.

Ready to resume broadcasting church services - Tue 08/03/2010 (Mr. Butler)

Beginning the week of August 8th we would like to begin broadcasting church services again. We will resume the Thursday broadcast schedule and will publish the schedule on Tuesday the 10th (once we have a handle on what videos we have.)

Churches may drop off videos to the High School office beginning Monday between 8am and 3pm. (We will work on a Sunday drop off schedule once school begins.)

We now have a basic banner announcement showing on Channel 6. We are working to get the color and sound levels correct. Thanks for your patience.

My intention with this webpage is to keep any interested parties updated on the progress and changes in the Van Wert High School Channel 6 studio. We are working very hard to get Channel 6 back on the air and hope to be broadcasting local programming very soon. Thank you for your patience.
