This is a very demanding course that tests the students'
skills in analyzing the rhetoric of prose passages and asks
students to demonstrate their skill in composition directly
by writing essays in various rhetorical modes. During the
research unit students are required to submit an eight to
ten page paper, comparing and contrasting fiction to
reality. Students also learn to evaluate passages in order
to address analytical multiple choice questions.
