A powerful cyclone with winds raging up to 150mph rushed in to the the coast of Myanmar on May 3, 2008. An estimated 41,000 people were missing in wake of Asia's deathliest storm since 1991. It is predicted that over 1 million people will be left homeless by this devastating storm. Destroying everything in its path, the cyclone cleared harbors, building, villages, and left a flooded stream behind. The United States and many other countries across the world, are looking to provide Myanmar with much needed aide. A normally neutral country, Myanmar is reluctant, but in desperate need for foreign assistance. The government did not make large enough preparation for such a large storm the people of Myanmar are suffering immensely.
