It seems parents are starting to have more of an open mind these days.  It used to be hard to find a student who had a tattoo in high school; now there are several, even here in our web design team.  Tattoos are starting to be less viewed as tasteless and more as a work of art or expression. 

The art of tattoos is one that takes years of practice, and even an artist with years of experience can find himself nervous.  Which is understandable: you can erase a pencil line on paper, but how do you undo ink on skin?  Tattooing takes an enormous amount of calmness and just as much skill.  And yeah, it may hurt a little.  The best description I've heard was 'it's the feeling you get when you put your tongue on a hot, charged battery.'  But in the end, having a piece of art unique to yourself is well worth it.
