Freshman Choir
The Freshman choir is designed to be an introductory group where
basic vocal training, music reading, and choral concepts are taught
using a variety of choral literature. Students will perform in a
Fall concert, a Christmas concert, and a Spring concert. Ambitious
students may attend OMEA Contest while choir members may also have the
option to attend Solo and Ensemble Contest.
Sophomore Women's Choir
This choir is designed to give special attention to the female
voice. Women's choir continues culturing vocal techniques, music
reading skills, and choral concepts which were started in the Freshman
choir. These women will perform in the Fall concert, Christmas
concert, OMEA contest, and Spring concert. Solo and Ensemble
contest is optional for all members.
Concert Choir
The Concert choir is for those students who can maintain the
highest standards of musical excellence through choral performance and
rehearsal. One must possess an above average level of commitment
and cooperation during all rehearsals and performances. Males must
be in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade to participate and women must be in
the 11th or 12th grade to participate. Students who decide to join
without Freshman or Sophomore Women's choir background will need to
audition with the instructor. The Concert choir activities include
Fall concert, Christmas concert, Rotary Concert OMEA contests, the
formal Spring concert, and various other events.
